What our clients say

“

I am writing to highly recommend Miriam for her exceptional services in facilitating FedEx route transactions.

I purchased my first set of FedEx routes in 2018, and the business grew fourfold following the pandemic. As I reached retirement age, I decided to sell my routes and hired Miriam to manage the process. She successfully facilitated the sale of one portion in 2022 and the remaining two portions in 2025.

Throughout our four transactions together, one purchase and three sales, Miriam demonstrated extensive knowledge of the FedEx process. During a complex partial sale of my entire CSA, she was instrumental in gathering all the necessary data required for the bank to secure financing for the buyer.

I strongly recommend her services to anyone looking to sell their FedEx routes.

I recently listed my Fedex routes with Route Advisors and had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Miriam and her team were professional and easy to work with, helping at each stage to make sure we completed all steps to get to closing.

In particular, they found a suitable buyer very quickly (within weeks of listing) and vetted the buyer before we moved to due diligence. We then had weekly calls to progress toward closing. The requirements were clear, advice was sound and decision points were presented with plenty of time to make good choices. We were able to move to closing in less than six months, achieving the deal structure and price that was beneficial to us and the buyer.

I highly recommend Route Advisors. Personal service, highly attentive and responsive (we were two time zones apart and I never felt ignored and never had a call that was missed), overall an A+.

“

Route Advisors was referred to me by a colleague, a former FedEx ISP contractor who successfully sold his business through Miriam. I interviewed approximately four different brokers before deciding to work with Route Advisors. My decision was based on my colleague’s successful experience with them and, more importantly, their extensive knowledge of handling complex FedEx transactions.

Route Advisors ultimately sold my business at a price higher than I had expected. Throughout the transaction, Miriam was involved every step of the way. She connected the buyer with a lender experienced in FedEx transactions, guided both the buyer and seller through the entire sales process, helped the buyer prepare the RFI, and coached the buyer for the interview with FedEx.

I was very pleased with the experience and the outcome. After the sale of my business, I referred Miriam and Route Advisors to another colleague who was also looking to sell his FedEx business. She successfully sold his business as well.

Based on my experience, I would confidently recommend Miriam and Route Advisors to FedEx contractors considering selling their businesses.

What are my FedEx routes worth?

FedEx route businesses are priced on cash flow, not on revenue and not on route count. Across the route businesses Route Advisors currently has listed, asking prices run from 1.6x to 6.0x annual cash flow, with a median of 3.6x. FedEx Ground P&D packages specifically run 2.7x to 5.4x.

That spread is wide, and the reason is not regional. Two operations with identical revenue can sit at opposite ends of it. What separates them is whether the business runs without the owner, whether the drivers stay, and what condition the fleet and the contract are in.

What moves your number

Toward the top of the rangeToward the bottom
A manager in place, owner off the routeOwner driving daily
Tenured drivers paid at market rateTurnover, pay below market
Newer fleet with maintenance recordsAging vehicles near replacement
P&D and linehaul separated cleanlyEverything blended into one number
Station stable or already convertedConsolidation pending or unclear
Real term remaining on the agreementRenewal imminent, no visibility

Most sellers are surprised by how much the first row is worth. A business a buyer can step into without learning to drive a route reaches a completely different pool of buyers, and that pool has more capital.

Selling confidentially

The first fear almost every seller raises is the same one: what happens when my drivers and my station manager find out.

They do not find out. Listings are published without identifying detail, and a number of packages are never published at all. Locations are shown as a state or a region rather than a city where a seller needs it that way. Buyers sign a non-disclosure agreement before they see financials, before they see the territory, and before they see your name. You keep running your routes throughout, and disclosure happens on your timetable, not the market’s.

How Network 2.0 is changing when to sell

FedEx is consolidating its Express and Ground networks into shared facilities under Network 2.0. The programme is roughly 25% complete and targeted for full US implementation by the end of calendar 2027, with more than 475 station closures expected across the network and around 290 stations already converted to handle combined volume.

For a contractor thinking about an exit, this is the single most important piece of timing information available. A route package attached to a station that has already converted carries a different risk profile, and a different price, than one attached to a station whose future is undecided. Buyers and their lenders are asking about it directly. Knowing your station’s status before you list is the difference between answering that question and being caught by it.

Who is buying FedEx routes right now

  • Existing contractors expanding. They already run routes, often in an adjacent territory, and they buy for density. They move fastest and ask the sharpest operational questions.
  • SBA-backed first-time operators. Financed buyers, usually purchasing a business they intend to manage. They need the financials to survive a lender’s diligence, which is where unprepared listings fail.
  • Out-of-state and absentee investors. They are buying a managed business, not a job, and they pay a premium for one that genuinely runs without its owner.

Buyer depth is why preparation matters more than timing. A package that only suits one of these three is negotiating with one bidder.

How selling works

  1. Valuation. We review your financials, route mix, equipment and contract and tell you what the market will support. No cost, no obligation.
  2. Preparation. Normalising the books, documenting the driver roster, assembling the equipment schedule. This is the stage that decides your price.
  3. Confidential listing. Presented to our buyer network without identifying detail.
  4. Qualified buyers only. NDA first, proof of funds or lender pre-qualification before anything sensitive is shared.
  5. Offer and diligence. We manage the questions, the document requests and the lender.
  6. FedEx transfer approval. The buyer goes through the ISP approval process. We keep it moving.
  7. Close.
